UC Tools

These tools are free to download. I'm making them available because I believe that an organization should have visibility to all data in the systems it purchases. This includes backup data, which can be an invaluable source of information in the event of a catastrophic failure. These tools come without any warranty whatsoever; use them at your own risk.


DRS Backup Decrypter

Decrypts the TAR files from Cisco UCOS 8+ backup sets. This gives you the ability to use DRS Message Fisher with Unity Connection 8+ backups.

UCOS Password Decrypter

Decrypts the platformConfig.xml file extracted from a Cisco UCOS host's filesystem, retrieves critical passwords. Allows admins to read files directly from a UCOS host using remote support credentials.

IFX Ontape Browser

Allows the user to view databases, tables and records within an Informix Ontape backup. In Call Manager backups sets, the TAR file ending in *_CCMDB contains the Informix database backup. It can be found at...
\common\drf\db_drf_backup\drf_ontape_backup.gz
Once unpacked, the drf_ontape_backup file can be read by the IFX Ontape Browser.
